Our conference theme is Technology Education in Changing Times. As educators, we are committed to provide quality instruction for our students, regardless of the circumstances. To achieve this goal during this time necessitates that we learn new strategies, technologies, and methods of communication and engagement, for both inside and outside the classroom.
A quote by John Dewey continues to ring true: “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
This time of change presses us to reimagine ourselves, both as learners and educators. The Virtual Oswego Fall Conference is an opportunity to support our colleagues and discipline by sharing strategies and projects that engage students and address educational objectives. Please consider recording a 20-30 minute video presentation to be presented as part of this year’s conference. Share what you have learned, so others may benefit from your experience. We welcome both middle school and high school topics, and encourage the following conference threads:
Remote or Hybrid Instruction Tools and Techniques
Student Engagement and Inquiry
At Home Technology Activities and Projects
Assessment Strategies
Technology Enhanced Accessibility
Success Stories: Best practices and projects, lessons learned
We welcome presentations in one of these threads as well as topics you think will be of interest to conference attendees.
